Dry Needling
Dry Needling is a physical therapy technique where thin, sterile needles are inserted into trigger points — tight, knotted areas in the muscle — to release tension, reduce pain, and restore normal muscle function. Performed by a licensed physical therapist, each session targets one body area and includes mobility and stretching exercises.
This session is recommended for individuals with persistent muscle pain, trigger point discomfort, or limited range of motion caused by overuse or injury. It is commonly chosen by athletes, office workers with postural strain, or patients recovering from musculoskeletal conditions.
Session Inclusions:
- Dry Needling (1 body area)
- Mobility Exercises
- Stretching Exercises
- Session Duration: approximately 45 minutes
One body area refers to one treatment region per session — for example, the back, shoulder, neck, knee, or leg.
What to Expect:
- Thin needles are inserted into trigger points in the target muscle area
- A brief twitch or cramping sensation may occur when a trigger point is released — this is a positive response
- Mild soreness in the treated area is normal for 24–48 hours after the session
- Temporary dizziness or lightheadedness may occur in some patients
Do Not Book If You Have:
- Fear of needles or needle phobia
- Active infection or open skin in the treatment area
- A blood clotting disorder or current use of anticoagulant medication
- Pregnancy
- Metal allergies or sensitivity to needles
