Ultrasound Services

Looking for a quick and reliable ultrasound? At Patient First Medical Clinic and Diagnostics Center, we offer walk-in ultrasound imaging for both routine and urgent concerns—no hospital visit or long wait required.

Whether it’s for abdominal pain, pregnancy monitoring, thyroid evaluation, or vascular screening, our clinic provides radiation-free imaging performed by licensed sonographers.

What Is an Ultrasound—and When It’s Recommended

Ultrasound (sonography) uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of internal organs, soft tissues, and fluid-filled structures. Because it’s non-invasive and radiation-free, it’s safe for most patients, including pregnant women.

Physicians typically order ultrasound imaging when there’s a need to:

  • Investigate abdominal discomfort, swelling, or pain

  • Monitor pregnancy, fetal growth, or complications

  • Evaluate pelvic or gynecologic problems

  • Examine lumps or masses in organs like liver, kidneys, thyroid, or breast

  • Assess blood flow in vessels via Doppler studies

  • Guide procedures like biopsies or fluid drainage

Our in-clinic sonographers perform each scan with precision and care, ensuring that your experience is as smooth and informative as possible.

What to Expect During Your Visit

Here’s the general flow of a clinic ultrasound:

  1. Register at the front desk (bring physician request or referral if available).

  2. You’ll lie on the exam table; gel is applied over the area being scanned.

  3. The sonographer moves a handheld transducer over the region; for internal scans, a special probe may be used.

  4. The scan typically takes between 10 and 30 minutes, depending on the area.

  5. Protective measures are used to ensure your safety; you can return to your normal activity immediately after.

Your ultrasound images and findings are interpreted by your doctor, who will communicate results and next steps to you.

How Ultrasound Integrates with Other Medical Services

Ultrasound is often ordered in conjunction with consultations from various medical specialties, including but not limited to:

  • OB-Gyne / OB-Sonology (pregnancy, reproductive concerns)

  • Internal Medicine / Gastroenterology (abdominal pain, organ evaluation)

  • Urology (kidney, bladder, prostate assessment)

  • Endocrinology (thyroid imaging)

Because we house diagnostic imaging and clinical consultation under one roof, your care is efficient and seamless.
