Oncology Consultations Without the Wait

Early evaluation is key when it comes to cancer-related symptoms or screening. At Patient First Medical Clinic and Diagnostics Center, we provide walk-in oncology consultations with licensed physicians experienced in evaluating potential signs of cancer and managing follow-up care.

Our clinic is equipped for initial assessment, coordination of diagnostics, and referrals to specialized cancer centers when needed. HMO consultations are accepted. Contact us for branch availability.

What Is Oncology—and When to Consult a Cancer Specialist

Oncology is the medical field focused on the prevention, diagnosis, and management of cancer. While advanced treatments (e.g., chemotherapy or radiation) are typically done in specialized centers, early evaluation and ongoing monitoring can begin at the clinic level.

Consult an oncologist or cancer specialist if you:

  • Have an unexplained lump or mass

  • Are experiencing unexplained weight loss, fatigue, or pain

  • Notice changes in moles, breast tissue, or skin

  • Have abnormal results from imaging or blood work

  • Need ongoing follow-up after prior cancer diagnosis

  • Require a second opinion on symptoms or lab findings

Cancer symptoms may appear mild at first or overlap with other common conditions. That’s why it’s important to seek professional evaluation, especially if you have a family history of cancer or existing risk factors like smoking, obesity, or chronic infections.

Our doctors provide compassionate, non-alarming guidance to help you take the right next steps.

Symptoms and Cases We Assess and Refer

Our Oncology consultations can help evaluate:

  • Palpable lumps in the neck, breast, or other areas

  • Chronic fatigue, anemia, or unexplained weight changes

  • Skin lesions or moles that have changed in size or color

  • Abnormal Pap smear or ultrasound findings

  • Enlarged lymph nodes

  • Blood test abnormalities (e.g., elevated tumor markers)

We understand that patients may arrive with anxiety, uncertainty, or even fear. Our clinic serves as a first step—a place to get clarity and guidance in a supportive environment. If there are red flags or diagnostic concerns, we ensure appropriate next steps such as biopsy referrals, specialist coordination, or imaging requests.

Consult with Our Oncologists

Discussing cancer-related concerns can be difficult. Our doctors are trained to handle these consultations with sensitivity and professionalism. Whether you're seeking screening, reassurance, or a second opinion, we provide a supportive environment for your concerns.

Our physician will assess your risk factors, medical history, and available test results, then recommend appropriate action—whether that’s reassurance, further workup, or referral to a cancer center.

For patients undergoing treatment elsewhere, our clinic can provide follow-up lab testing, wound care, and supportive symptom management when appropriate.

In-Clinic Cancer Support and Diagnostic Coordination

Your doctor may request additional diagnostics such as:

  • Breast ultrasound or soft tissue scan

  • CBC, ESR, or inflammatory markers

  • Tumor marker blood tests (e.g., AFP, CEA, CA-125 as advised)

  • Urinalysis or imaging referrals

These tests help identify inflammation, assess organ function, or detect markers associated with certain cancers. While they do not confirm cancer alone, they help doctors determine if further investigation is needed.

Our diagnostic workflow is streamlined for fast turnaround, allowing for earlier decisions about care. We also provide documentation for external referrals or continuity of care if you're transferring to a specialist center.

Patient Education and Prevention Support

Part of cancer care is awareness and prevention. Our oncology consultations also include education on reducing personal risk factors, including:

  • Smoking cessation strategies

  • Guidance on diet and weight management

  • Monitoring of hormone-related risk (e.g., in breast or cervical health)

  • Understanding early warning signs

We also support patients managing genetic or hereditary risk, helping coordinate the right screenings or family counseling if needed.

If you’ve undergone prior cancer treatment, our clinic can assist with:

  • Reviewing lab and scan results

  • Monitoring for recurrence symptoms
