At Patient First Medical Clinic and Diagnostics Center, we offer in-clinic OB-Sonology services for patients needing detailed pregnancy-related ultrasound scans. These are conducted by licensed OB-Sonologists trained to interpret fetal development, maternal health indicators, and high-risk pregnancy concerns.

What Is OB-Sonology—and How Is It Different from Routine OB-Gyne

OB-Sonology is a specialized field within Obstetrics that focuses on detailed ultrasound imaging to assess the health and development of the fetus and the condition of the mother during pregnancy.

While a general OB-Gyne may perform basic scans, OB-Sonologists provide advanced assessments, often in high-risk or referral cases.

Patients are commonly referred for OB-Sonology when:

• A detailed fetal growth scan is needed

• There is suspected abnormality in a previous scan

• The pregnancy is considered high-risk (e.g., hypertension, gestational diabetes)

• Confirmation of fetal age, position, or development is needed

• Multiple pregnancies (e.g., twins) require closer monitoring

• 2D Congenital Anomaly Scan

• Biophysical Profile (BPS)
