At Patient First Medical Clinic and Diagnostics Center, our Nephrologist provides walk-in consultations for adults who need kidney screening, management of kidney-related conditions, or evaluation of abnormal lab results.

Consultations are available at select branches. No referral required. HMO patients are welcome.

What Is Nephrology—and Who Should See a Kidney Specialist

Nephrology is the medical specialty focused on the kidneys and urinary system. The kidneys are responsible for filtering waste, balancing fluids, and regulating blood pressure and electrolytes.

Patients are often referred to a nephrologist if they have:

• Abnormal kidney function tests (e.g., high creatinine)

• Protein or blood in urine

• Persistent swelling in legs or feet

• Uncontrolled high blood pressure

• Electrolyte imbalances (e.g., high potassium)
