Dr. Monina Cayco-Eraña

Dr. Monina L. Cayco-Erana is a board-certified general surgeon at Patient First Makati. She sees patients for the surgical questions that need a clear answer: whether a lump, hernia, or other problem needs an operation, and if so, how safely to go about it.


She earned her medical degree from the University of the Philippines Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH) College of Medicine, completed her surgical residency at Manila Doctors Hospital, and passed the written and oral examinations of the Philippine Board of Surgery in 2019. She is a member of the Philippine Medical Association and the Makati Medical Society, a courtesy consultant at Manila Doctors Hospital, and previously served as a surgery hospitalist at Asian Hospital and Medical Center.


A surgical assessment leans on imaging and labs, and an ultrasound and the laboratory are both available in the clinic to settle the diagnosis before any decision.
